Abstract

Purpose: The study aims to explore the research trajectory inthe field of financial literacy (Fin Lit), Tax literacy (Tax Lit)and behavioural biases through the lens of bibliometric analysisbased on Scopus indexed publication between 2010-2026. Thestudy seeks to underearth the publication trends, impactful au-thors, most followed journals and dominant thematic bundleshaping the literature around said knowledge. In addition, thestudy aims to explore the emerging research theme and collab-oration network among scholars, institutes and countries.Design/Methodology/Approach: Bibliometric analysis hasbeen used to explore the literature pattern. The study comprises2430 articles published and extracted from Scopus dataset fromJanuary 2010 to 8th March 2026. The extracted data then hasbeen processed via analytical software packages such asVOSviewer, biblioshiny for conducting performance analysisand science mapping concentrating on publication, citation pat-terns, authors, institutions involved, and keyword co-occur-rence networks.Novelty: In contrast to prior studies, this review presents morerigorous and systematic visuals with statistical values for schol-arly progress in the field of Fin Lit, Tax Lit and behaviouralbiases. Further depth to collaboration analysis with structureand thematic focus can be noticed.Finding: The findings point out a consistent fall in the interestof scholars in behavioural finance during last two decades andevolution of new areas or dimensions of research among globalresearchers. Keyword analysis indicates the shift of paradigmFinancial Literacy, digital Financial Literacy, bias, financialdecision and portfolio choice. The review indicates increasedmulti-dimensionality of Fin Lit and identified areas of under-emphasized regions and emerging economics. The study willhelp to guide future areas of research.Limitation: The study is limited to bibliometric data collectedfrom Scopus database which may have ignored significant pa-pers indexed in other academic repositories. The results are alsosensitive to Boolean used while sorting paper on covered data-base and citation-based indicators do not necessarily reflect re-search quality, as it may be influenced by self-citation, discipli-nary citation norms and time biases. Future research may in-clude results from multiple-data base for wider scope and cov-erage
